Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how VKB Equipments arranges delivery and collection for machinery, equipment, trailers, attachments, implements, parts, and accessories.

Delivery is available to many destinations within South Africa, subject to product size, weight, carrier availability, road access, loading requirements, and transport regulations.

Delivery Methods

Small parts may be sent by courier. Heavy components may require pallet freight or dedicated transport. Complete machines may require low bed transport, specialised machinery carriers, ramps, cranes, forklifts, or other handling equipment.

The delivery method is selected according to the product and destination. Customers should provide accurate site information before accepting the transport quotation.

Delivery Charges

Delivery is not included in the product price unless the quotation or invoice expressly states otherwise.

Transport charges may be based on the collection point, destination, product dimensions, weight, required vehicle, tolls, fuel, insurance, permits, urgency, waiting time, and loading or unloading requirements.

A delivery price may change where the customer provides an incorrect address, incomplete access information, inaccurate dimensions, or a different destination.

Dispatch Requirements

An order will normally be prepared for dispatch after cleared payment has been received, stock has been allocated, product preparation has been completed, the delivery address has been confirmed, and a suitable carrier has been booked.

Special order products will be dispatched after they arrive and complete any required receiving checks.

Processing and Delivery Estimates

Stock parts are generally prepared within two to five business days after cleared payment, subject to availability and verification. Large equipment, used machinery, special orders, and items requiring preparation may take longer.

Estimated transit time is normally two to seven business days after dispatch for standard regional deliveries. Remote areas, oversized loads, permit requirements, and specialised transport may require additional time.

These periods are estimates rather than guarantees. Weather, road closures, carrier breakdowns, permit delays, public holidays, strikes, unrest, supplier delays, and other events outside reasonable control may affect delivery.

Customer Delivery Information

Customers must provide the full delivery address, postal code, recipient name, working telephone number, accurate directions, access restrictions, gate dimensions, road surface details, delivery appointments, site safety rules, and unloading information.

Narrow roads, weak bridges, low overhead cables, steep gradients, soft ground, security restrictions, and limited turning space must be disclosed before transport is booked.

Large Machinery Delivery

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is safe and accessible. Enough space must be available for the transport vehicle to enter, turn, unload, and leave.

A carrier may refuse to enter an unsafe location. Reasonable waiting, redelivery, storage, or return transport charges may be payable where site information was incomplete or inaccurate.

Delivery Inspection

The customer or authorised recipient should inspect the shipment before signing the delivery document. Check the package quantity, product identity, visible damage, broken packaging, missing components, leaks, impact marks, and loose items.

Visible concerns should be recorded on the carrier document where practical. Photographs should be taken before unloading or unpacking continues.

Transport Damage

Suspected transport damage should be reported to sales@vkbequipments.co.za as soon as reasonably possible. Include the invoice number, delivery date, photographs, carrier details, and a clear description.

Keep the product, packaging, waybill, labels, pallet, and accessories until the claim has been investigated. Do not operate, repair, modify, or discard damaged goods without written approval.

Failed Delivery

A delivery may fail when nobody is available to receive the goods, the address is incorrect, site access is unsafe, required unloading equipment is unavailable, or the carrier cannot contact the recipient.

The customer may be responsible for reasonable redelivery, waiting, storage, handling, or return transport costs.

Customer Collection

Orders may be collected from Holding 87, Uniforest Plantation, H/V BHS & Road 14, Leeupoort Farms, Delmas, 2210, by prior arrangement.

The collecting person may be required to show identification, the invoice number, and written authority. The collection vehicle must be safe and suitable for the load. Customers must provide appropriate load restraints.

VKB Equipments may decline to load a vehicle that appears unsafe, overloaded, or unsuitable.
